Ivys Adsorption and NetXeroC Pvt Ltd Announce Strategic Partnership to Advance Biogas Upgrading across India’s Wastewater Sector

A new partnership between NetXeroC Pvt Ltd and Ivys Adsorption Inc. is set to disrupt India’s wastewater sector into highly profitable enterprises with enhanced valorization of industrial waste via circular models, propelled by India’s burgeoning BioCNG market.

The collaboration between the two companies enables the use of advanced biogas upgrading technology to convert wastewater into biomethane suitable for pipelines and refueling.

The initial project involves the Devpriya Group, which operates a paper recycling facility in Meerut, located in Uttar Pradesh’s western region. This facility will process industrial wastewater with high-rate anaerobic digesters to generate raw biogas. To convert this biogas into renewable natural gas (RNG), our rotary valve PSA system will be integrated with NetXeroC’s Thiopaq biochemical H₂S removal system. This synergy lowers operational expenses while ensuring system dependability, tackling two significant challenges in biogas upgrading. The modular design used for this initiative requires minimal maintenance and achieves high recovery efficiency, making it ideal for small to medium-sized industries facing variable loads and spatial limitations.

This initial project in Meerut’s paper recycling sector will act as a model for scalable BioCNG production within India’s wastewater domain.

Partnership update

NetXeroC announced the second project at Silverton Industries Limited, a leading recycled paper manufacturing company based in Muzaffarnagar. This system will upgrade biogas from Sillverton’s wastewater treatment plant to produce 6000 kg/day of high-purity RNG. With a production capacity of 1100 TPD, Silverton is taking a significant step to grow the circular economy in India.

India’s SATAT initiative (Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation) has set an inspiring goal of establishing 5,000 Compressed Biogas (CBG) plants by 2030 to boost India’s energy security. As Indian industries face increasing demands to lower carbon emissions, circular models like this offer a viable and profitable way forward. This project signifies a significant shift in perspective. Wastewater, once viewed merely as a burden, is now being reassessed as a valuable energy resource, capable of advancing climate objectives while enhancing profitability.

“This is about more than upgrading gas—it’s about upgrading India’s approach to industrial decarbonization,” stated Suchit Dekivadia, CEO of NetXeroC. “By incorporating established international technology, we’re bridging the innovation gap and developing scalable solutions for clean energy transition.”

“India offers a significant opportunity for large-scale clean energy development,” remarked Prabhu Rao, President & CEO of Ivys Adsorption Inc. “Our Biostream and PSA product lines are tailored to provide modular and scalable solutions in the expanding biogas sector, and this collaboration enables us to combine our engineering expertise with NetXeroC’s market presence and practical experience.”
